Jazz vocalist Hetty Kate, now based in Paris, is back in Australia making an East Coast Autumn tour for April 2023. Join her for a matinee concert at Classic Southside celebrating her 2019 album release 'Under Paris Skies' with two outstanding Melbourne musicians, friends and longtime collaborators, guitarist James Sherlock and bassist Ben Hanlon.
Both instrumentalists are featured on this beautiful collection of standards, carefully curated to take the listener on a journey through the myriad of emotions Hetty experienced when she packed her bag, left her beloved Melbourne behind and moved alone to Paris in 2017. Enjoy an intimate matinee performance with Hetty's sparkling jazz repertoire, stretching from the 1920s through to the late 1950s, of course including a select few of Hetty's favourite French songs.
