What is the difference between the VIP and Free tiers of the Movie Club?

The Free tier of the Movie Club is free to join and entitles members to 1 discounted ticket per session, access to exclusive preview screenings and one $8 ticket on Cheap Tuesday.

The VIP tier of the Movie Club gives you the best bang for your buck, including 2 discounted tickets per session, a bonus $1 ticket when you join, renew or upgrade, $8 tickets on Cheap Tuesday, and 10% of food and drink (excluding alcohol).

How do I sign in to my Movie Club account and access member pricing?

First, sign in to your Movie Club account by selecting the “Club Sign In” button at the top right of the screen and enter your email address. You will then receive an email - select the “Login To Movie Club” button in the email. Then navigate to the “now showing” page and purchase your discounted tickets!

What discounted ticket prices are Movie Club members entitled to?

The discounted ticket prices that Movie Club members are entitled to will differ by session type. Discounted member prices:

  1. For general sessions are listed on the ticket price page under the cinema info tab.

  2. For special events, including Q&As, celluloid sessions and film retrospectives are listed on the ticket selection page of the special event.

  3. May not be applicable for film festivals, events or sessions hosted by third partes.

How do I use my $1 VIP Movie Club member ticket and what exclusions apply?

When signing up, renewing or upgrading to the VIP Movie Club, members receive one $1 ticket if they sign up for one year, and two $1 tickets when they sign up for two years.

To use your $1 ticket, sign in to your Movie Club account by selecting the “Club Sign In” button at the top right of the screen. At the ticket selection page, you will see an option to add your $1 member ticket.

 $1 VIP Movie Club member tickets are not valid for film festivals and special events, including, but not limited to, Q&As, celluloid sessions and film retrospectives. If you cannot see your $1 VIP Movie Club member ticket on the ticket selection page, it means $1 tickets are not valid for the selected session.

How do I add my digital Movie Club membership card to my Apple or Google wallet?

You must be using a smartphone to add your digital Movie Club membership card to your Apple or Google wallet.

First, sign in to your Movie Club account by selecting the “Club Sign In” button at the top right of the screen. Once you are logged in, you will be directed to a screen containing your digital membership card. Select the “Add to Apple/Google Wallet” button and follow the prompts.

How do I check my membership’s expiry date and what happens when it expires?

VIP Movie Club memberships are valid for 1 or 2 years, depending on the option you selected at the time of sign up/renewal. When your VIP Movie Club membership is about to expire you will receive an email telling you how to renew. You can also renew by signing in to your Movie Club account by selecting the “Club Sign In” button at the top right of the screen and pressing the “Renew” button.

When your VIP Movie Club membership expires, you will be automatically downgraded to the Free tier, which only entitles you to 1 discounted ticket per session. You can easily upgrade to the VIP tier again by signing in to your Movie Club account and selecting the “Upgrade to VIP button”.

 

To check the expiry date, sign in to your Movie Club account. The expiry date is listed next to the Membership number. If you are using a smartphone, you will need to select the blue drop down arrow to reveal the expiry date and membership number.

Note: Free Movie Club memberships do not have an expiry date.

How do I unsubscribe from marketing and loyalty emails?

You can manage your marketing preferences by logging into your Movie Club account and updating your communication settings, or by unsubscribing through the links provided in emails.
