The Story

Yugoslavia, late 1980s. The family are hastily making their final preparations for Christmas Eve dinner: their beloved uncle from Germany will be parking his Mercedes in front of the house any moment now, and everything must be ready. But are things really as they seem?

Ingeniously toying with narrative structure, the film offers up a dark and strange examination of the cycles of power and social hierarchy - with a touch of revenge thriller thrown in for good measure.
