Pigsty (1969)

The Story

Two dramatic stories. In an undetermined past, a young cannibal (who killed his own father) is condemned to be torn to pieces by some wild beasts. In the second story, Julian, the young son of a post-war German industrialist, is on the way to lie down with his farm's pigs, because he doesn't like human relationships.

Film introduced by Janice Tong, by day the managing director for a tech media company, and by night a cinephile whose thesis was on love, time and memory in the films of Wong Kar-wai and who has published on Wong in Focus: 25 New Takes, on Georges Bataille and Pier-Paolo Pasolini in the philosophy journal Contretemps, and on Claude Sautet in Senses of Cinema.
