It’s 1980 in Budapest and two students, András and Péter, are determined to hit the big time with their rock band. With András’s cousin’s wedding in Transylvania coming up, the pair hatches a plan to smuggle antiques across the border for some quick cash to fund their musical aspirations. Their scheme involves Péter faking a courtship of the bride’s sister, Kati, since she needs to be married to a Hungarian to gain passage into the country. Amid the vibrant rituals of a traditional Kalotaszeg wedding, Péter and Kati find their coupling of convenience blossoming into real love. But Péter isn’t the only suitor with designs on Kati.
