From 7.30pm Sunday January 29, the Classic will hold a lavish 1920s inspired birthday bash, including a pre-screening function, followed by an preview screening of Cannes winning film The Artist and an exclusive live performance by a renowned band.

The Artist was nominated and has won over 50 film festival and other prestigious international film awards in 2011. Michel Hazanavicius' silent, black and white, masterpiece set in 1927 Hollywood coined as 'a love letter to silent cinema sealed with a smirk' (Variety), focuses on a declining male film star and a rising actress, as silent cinema grows out of fashion and is replaced by the talkies.

Winner: Best Actor, Cannes Film Festival. Nominated: Palm d'Or, Cannes Film Festival. Nominated for 4 European Film Awards including Best Film and Best Actor.
